Dear Nomi, Thankyou for your kind reaction to the previous post and your comment on the change to this. The images shown belong to a series of paintings - MASS & DYNAMIC - on which I have been working for the past year or so.I agree with you about how there seems to be something not quite right with the presentation and I don't think it's completely down to my utter uselessness with a camera & computer. A part of what I've tried to do in this series is to set up a visual continuum and to arrive at that, the edge of the painting is very much part of the composition rather than just being a 'dormant' reality. Immediately the images arrive on the screen the 'strength' of the edge is dissipated as it pushes against the borders around the image and the screen background itself. Again I thank you for your kind interest. Best wishes, Tony
c.p. sez: Great sense of filminess, at the same time compression--they work. if you want to tell me a little more somewhere you'll be able to find an email address. Very best.
Were I to tell the truth it would be of little interest & to say anything else would be of small value. However, should you have any questions to ask of me or my work I will try to answer as honestly as possible.

Ah. Better without the white border. This is that one, I hope.

Don't know the originals, of course, but I think the edges still have a real presence even in reproduction.
Really interesting to see the work. Will revisit from now on.
