This one is a good example of how you come right up to the edge of design and somehow stop short. The colors here, one hair left or right and it would be tastefully dull. I love that tension.

Dear Lomi, Thankyou for your comment. It reassures me in the sense that I am always looking for the point of 'tension'. If I can satisfy myself that an image can suggest a potential for 'change/hiatus' then I feel I've done my job. I suppose it comes down to the idea of trying to intimate that each painting, though fixed, is transient & can hint to a past and a future.
